Evers Realty Group was founded in March of 2001 by Alan J. Evers, Principal Broker, who formed the Company after a successful career in the Office Products Industry. Alan believed that the outstanding Customer Care practices and innovative marketing techniques developed in his successful Office Products Company would bring a new level of Service and Professionalism to Real Estate Brokerage in the Chicagoland and NW Indiana Region. Evers Realty Group is honored to have served many Clients who were also Customers of Evers Office Supply Co.
Highlights of the career of Alan J. Evers
Starting in the warehouse as a dock worker, Alan learned every aspect of the family business and the importance of serving Customers and Employees. In these years, Alan drove a delivery truck, delivered office furniture, assembled orders, worked in Customer Service, in inside sales, in outside sales, worked on the retail floor and in the purchasing department.
Developed and implemented an aggressive outside sales team, growing the business from $3 million to $5 million in annual sales
The Company grew to $9 million in annual sales under Alan Evers leadership; managed a successful sale of the business to U.S. Office Products, based in Washington DC, in February of 1996.
Managed a large division with multiple locations in 3 states; served on a team that built a Midwest distribution center; negotiated and carried out numerous real estate transactions including commercial leases and long term sub-leases. Alan resigned from U.S. Office Products in February of 2000, fulfilling a verbal commitment he made to remain with the Company a minimum of 4 years from the date of the sale of Evers Business Group.
Earned an Illinois Real Estate Agent License in 1999; Earned an Illinois & an Indiana Real Estate Brokers License in 2000. Marketed Real Estate for a small independent Broker in Schererville, Indiana from August of 2000 – February of 2001
