Company History

Evers Realty Group was founded in March of 2001 by Alan J. Evers, Principal Broker, who formed the Company after a successful career in the Office Products Industry. Alan believed that the outstanding Customer Care practices and innovative marketing techniques developed in his successful Office Products Company would bring a new level of Service and Professionalism to Real Estate Brokerage in the Chicagoland and NW Indiana Region. Evers Realty Group is honored to have served many Clients who were also Customers of Evers Office Supply Co.

Highlights of the career of Alan J. Evers

  • 1975 – 1986, Evers Office Supply Co.

Starting in the warehouse as a dock worker, Alan learned every aspect of the family business and the importance of serving Customers and Employees. In these years, Alan drove a delivery truck, delivered office furniture, assembled orders, worked in Customer Service, in inside sales, in outside sales, worked on the retail floor and in the purchasing department.

  • 1986 – 1991: Vice President of Sales, Evers Office Supply Co. / Evers Business Group

Developed and implemented an aggressive outside sales team, growing the business from $3 million to $5 million in annual sales

  • 1991 – 1998: President, Evers Business Group

The Company grew to $9 million in annual sales under Alan Evers leadership; managed a successful sale of the business to U.S. Office Products, based in Washington DC, in February of 1996.

  • 1998 – 2000: President of the Chicago District Office Furniture Group, U.S. Office Products

Managed a large division with multiple locations in 3 states; served on a team that built a Midwest distribution center; negotiated and carried out numerous real estate transactions including commercial leases and long term sub-leases. Alan resigned from U.S. Office Products in February of 2000, fulfilling a verbal commitment he made to remain with the Company a minimum of 4 years from the date of the sale of Evers Business Group.

  • 2000 – 2001: Real Estate Agent & Broker

Earned an Illinois Real Estate Agent License in 1999; Earned an Illinois & an Indiana Real Estate Brokers License in 2000. Marketed Real Estate for a small independent Broker in Schererville, Indiana from August of 2000 – February of 2001

  • 2001: Evers Realty Group

Founded Evers Realty Group in March of 2001; Alan Evers 1st years sales reached $4.7 million, nearly 5 times the annual average of all Real Estate agents

  • 2002: Alan Evers sales reach $6.7 million, a 50% increase from 2001
  • 2003: Evers Realty Group continues to grow: Alan Evers sales reach $8.2 million, 3 new agents join the firm and the company moves (2 times!) to handle the growth. Evers Realty Group sales for 2003 expand to $10.2 million
  • 2004: Evers Realty Group sales grow to nearly $13 million with $10.8 million in production from Alan Evers. Cindy Rudenga joins the firm as office manager.
  • 2005: Evers Realty Group sales grow to $14 million with nearly $11 million in production from Alan Evers; the firm expands to 8 agents
  • 2006: Evers Realty Group sales reach just under $18 million with Alan Evers sales exceeding $13 million
  • 2007: In a down year for Real Estate sales, Alan Evers realizes over $8 million in sales
  • 2008: In a very difficult year for the Real Estate Industry, Alan Evers again eclipses $8 million in Real Estate sales
  • 2009: In one of the most trying years in the Real Estate market, Alan Evers achieves over $7 million in sales. From 2001 – 2009, Evers Realty Group has closed sales on over 500 properties totaling over $92 Million in sales.
  • 2010: In another difficult year for the Real Estate market, Alan Evers closes nearly $10 million in sales. Since 2001, Evers Realty Group has closed over $103 Million in sales.
  • 2011: Evers Realty Group has now closed well over $110 million in sales in the 10 years it has been in business.
  • 2012: Alan Evers closes $12 million in sales in 2012.
  • 2013: Alan Evers closes sales on over 80 properties representing $14 million in 2013.
  • 2014: Alan Evers closes sales on 97 properties with total sales of $17.3 million.
  • 2015: Alan Evers closes sales on 112 properties with total sales of $20.7 million.
